CONCEPT

ecothèque is a series of fully renewably-powered gatherings charged by our creative community microgrid. We bring artists, civic leaders, brand representatives, technologists, community members and more together in a collective effort to ditch fossil fuels & inspire regenerative practices.

Our inaugural event featured:

  • solar-powered music (durante, starya, jesse sachs, rohaina hassan, dj ÿ, dj electron, alex rose)

  • renewably powered video art gallery of solarpunks art

  • solar-powered light art installation (astrothebaptist)

  • audio-visual art installations (the öther)

  • live screen printing on secondhand garments (tried & true)

  • native plant potting & art station (solarpunk park)

  • limited-edition solarpunks ecothèque chocolate bar (tony’s chocolonely)

  • observational bee hive (bee wild collective)

  • seed gifting & ecology game (treepeople)

  • upcycled & vintage bazaar (tried & true, mauvais garçon, in sheep’s clothing, asaka fushimi, buttery pat, search studios, and baby shine kids)

  • tasty drinks (keep coming back bar, guayaki, onda, stella artois, boisson, ever & ever)
